Autumn Muckenhirn M.S., CCC-SLP
Autumn earned a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Sciences from North Dakota State University in Fargo North Dakota, and a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed in the state of California, and Colorado. In addition, Autumn is a member of the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) which specializes in the use of equine (horse) movement as a treatment tool within her practice.
She has spent her career working as a travel Speech Pathologist in hospital, educational and in-home settings across the country, alongside professionals in different disciplines to treat children and adults as a whole. Autumn’s diverse professional experiences have greatly supported her knowledge in the areas of speech, language, cognition and feeding/swallowing disorders. Her goal with every client is to begin therapy as early as possible, and engage families in a collaborative process, which helps lead to greater success for her clients.
When she is not working with clients, Autumn travels extensively, enjoys time in the mountains with her partner and chocolate lab ‘Kotah’ and practicing her new hobbies like skydiving, free-diving, and beekeeping. Her travel and affinity for the outdoors has further strengthened her desire to build strong connections with people of all cultures, fostering personal development, and connecting clients to the elements of nature to support healing & rehabilitation or gaining new skills.
